皮膚科医。乾癬、光線過敏症などを中心に臨床と研究に携わる。
ミシガン大学に留学しRT-PCRによる乾癬病変のサイトカイン研究（IL-8,GRO-α）を行った。
若い頃はアルパインクライミングを行い、
谷川岳一の倉沢、穂高、シャモニなどの岩壁を登る。
現在は臨床や研究の覚え書き、
そして山の記憶を「皮膚科落穂拾い」に記している。
A dermatologist whose clinical work and research have centered on psoriasis and photosensitivity disorders.
He spent a period at the University of Michigan, studying cytokine expression in psoriatic lesions (IL-8, GRO-α) using RT-PCR.
In earlier years he was an alpine climber, ascending rock faces in places such as Ichinokurasawa on Tanigawa-dake, the Hotaka range, and the mountains of Chamonix.
These days he records occasional notes on dermatology, together with memories of the mountains, on his blog “Dermatology – Gleanings.”
